Chocolate Covered Pretzels For Easter (Printable)

Crunchy pretzel rods coated in melted chocolate and topped with colorful Easter sprinkles for a sweet-salty treat.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Pretzels

01 - 20 large pretzel rods

→ Chocolates

02 - 7 oz semi-sweet chocolate
03 - 7 oz white chocolate

→ Decorations

04 - 2 oz Easter-themed sprinkles
05 - 1.75 oz pastel-colored candy melts (optional)

# How to Prepare:

01 - Line a baking tray with parchment paper to catch drips and provide a clean surface for decorated pretzels.
02 - Place semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval until completely smooth. Repeat the process separately with white chocolate in a second bowl.
03 - Hold each pretzel rod and dip approximately two-thirds into the melted chocolate of your choice. Lift and gently shake to allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
04 - Immediately place dipped pretzels on the prepared tray. While chocolate remains wet, sprinkle generously with Easter-themed decorations or drizzle with melted candy melts for added color and texture.
05 - Allow chocolate-covered pretzels to set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes until firm. For faster setting, transfer tray to refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
06 - Once chocolate has completely hardened, transfer pretzels to an airtight container. Store at cool room temperature for up to one week.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You probably have everything you need in the pantry right now
  • The sweet and salty combo makes them disappear faster than you can dip them
02 -
  • Chocolate seizes if even a drop of water gets in the bowl
  • Work in small batches so the chocolate does not harden before you can decorate
03 -
  • Room temperature chocolate sets with a nicer finish than chilled chocolate
  • Hold the pretzel at the very bottom when dipping to keep fingerprints off the chocolate
